I was happily surprised to be named one of the SCBWI “Draw This!” winners for May!

Each month, the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) invites their members to participate in “Draw This!” The organization sends out an email newsletter the 1st of the month with a different prompt word to illustrate. For May, the prompt word was “Feast.” I got a late start on the sketch, but I was able to turn in my submission by the deadline on the 20th. Here’s a look at my winning entry for “feast.”
